Is Christmas Over Already?
Oh, what a month it's been!
Filled with family and friends,
Parties seemingly without end,
Oh, what a month it's been!
Oh, so many reasons to worry!
Do all the shopping, hurry, hurry!
Then the weather strikes with a fury,
Oh, so many reasons to worry!
Oh, see the Babe in the manger!
He came for us all, each one a stranger,
Slow down, relax, He's the Arranger,
Oh, see the Babe in the manger!

Too Soon or Too Late?
So the boys each have a little girl;
Our only girl now has her boy.
It seems all should be right with the world
And our lives filled to the brim with joy.
So sweet and fresh, innocent and young
The grandchildren fill our hearts with love.
But we have to learn to hold our tongue
When our own kids need a good shove!
Here's something I need to know:
When does childrearing end?
At what point do our kids grow,
Mature and become our friends?
I see the beginning of the truth:
Maturity, growth, responsibility,
Have little to do with degrees of youth
More dependent on individuality.
We all grow up at our own rate,
We are all the Masters of our own fate,
We learn to love, we learn to hate,
We choose the wide or the narrow gate.
Who else can say: too soon or too late?
We all grow up at our own rate.
